Ramara Real EstateA truly beautiful location out in the northern parts of Simcoe County…that is but one of many ways to describe Ramara municipality located east of Orillia. In the 1990s, the townships of Rama and Mara blended together to form Ramara, which encompasses a nice swath of Lake Simcoe’s northeastern shoreline. Ramara has been around since 1820 (back when the townships were split), and has since played a role in the history of the Simcoe region. This is one of those times where people investing in real estate (or people looking to buy a home and settle down) will be none the wiser for investing their time and hard-earned money into Ramara, as Ramara is ever-expanding, and many people will benefit enormously from their investments and their time. There are plenty of semi-detached homes, detached homes, and family homes with very spacious interiors and lots of curb appeal. If you are looking to spend the day in the big city of Toronto, you’re in luck, as it is not a very far trip; maybe an hour or so. If you take Highway 12 to the west, then take Highway 11 south to where it meets the Highway 400, and take that south, you’ll arrive right in Toronto. If you’re looking to go out to Mississauga or something, from the 400, right at Toronto’s northern edge, you can take the 407 or 401 west to Mississauga, or east to Markham, Pickering, Whitby, and more. When it comes to parks and trails, you will have access to about 10 or so parks and trails. These parks include Mara Provincial Park, McRae Point Provincial Park, Bass Lake Provincial Park, and many others. Each park is nice and unique, so that every time you want to go to the park, if you pick a different one, you will quite literally have a different experience every time.As far as schools are concerned, you will have access to 4 major schools, including Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School, Uptergrove Public School, Orillia Christian School, Couchining Heights Public School, and many more. If you have a child that needs to finish their education, you will have no issue with trying to find a school for them, as you will be able to go right ahead and see them from Kindergarten to graduation and onward. If you are a person of religion, you will also have access to a number of Catholic and Christian schools in the area.
